Growing Pains

Mike Seabrook's many fans will remember Stephen Hill, the dashing young cricketer from "Out of Bounds," his teacher and lover Graham, and his clever schoolfriend Richard. Two years after Stephen was forced to leave home, Graham dies in a plane crash, and Steven comes into an unexpected legacy, including a large country hotel. But as well as the strains this new fortune places on his relationship with Richard, the pair have to confront the homophobia of their cricketing friends, which comes to a head when a young boy is brutally murdered.
