Jane Austen’s Fitzwilliam Darcy has been born on a calm and tranquil March day. The hope of his father, Gregory Darcy, is for his son to become a competent and wise Master of Pemberley while Lady Anne, Fitzwilliam's mother wishes for her son to know happiness and peace which comes from true love. In the book, Lady Anne encourages her son not to become too serious however there are many events which seem to cause Master Fitzwilliam to withdraw further into himself. Henry Fitzwilliam and Anne de Bourgh are playmates along with George Wickham who practically grew up at Pemberley.
In addition to the normal concerns Darcy’s parents have about their son, a terrible secret could be the undoing for all of them and have repercussions for Darcy and his cousins along with Georgiana. Gregory and Anne Darcy must decide on the best course to protect their shy son from the truth while encouraging him to allow his humor and goodness to shine.
In Master Fitzwilliam Becomes Mr. Darcy, we see how the gentle and tenderhearted young Master Fitzwilliam slowly becomes the formidable and stern Mr. Darcy we meet at the Meryton Assembly.
