But golf can sometimes be murder.

Amateur sleuth, Loretta Barksdale, is loving life in her retirement community, Breezy Lake Village, but things take an odd turn when a man on a golf cart literally crashes a Clubhouse Cooks event.

It doesn’t take much sleuthing to see that the brakes have failed, and the residents write it off as an unfortunate accident…until more golf carts appear to be sabotaged.

When one of the carts goes careening off the boat ramp and into the lake, the driver of the cart can’t be found.

When the victim is located, and their identity is revealed, Loretta decides to investigate because something is just telling her that there’s no way the malfunctioning golf carts were an accident rather than a coincidence.

The thing that stumps her is not only who has done the foul deeds, but…why?

As Loretta gets closer to the truth, she’s horrified to discover that not only the crime, but also the killer, is way too close to home.
