The book tells the story of a sheriff who murders his wife and five-year-old son in a drunken rage. He decides to hide the bodies in a remote area of the lake rather then tell the truth. He’s tormented by what he did. The lake becomes haunted and people are attacked on and around the lake. After spreading lies and deceit within the small community the sheriff decides to run away and leave it all behind, afraid that his darkest secrets are about to be revealed. It’s now up to the new sheriff and the new owner of the old sheriff’s house to unravel the lies that’ll shock the whole community. This is a thrilling ghost story and its twists and mystery will keep readers on the edge of their seats, locked in a fantasy that will raise the hair on the back of their necks.
