[Bridget series 02] • Bridget Bound on Treasure Island

Bridget Fox is a sexual psychologist and marriage counselor who also makes video documentaries dealing with out-of-mainstream sexual practices. She’s obtained an ancient talisman that gives her empathic and emotional sensing abilities. She can also channel the wisdom and experience of a dead voodoo queen whose spirit dwells within her mind.

Bridget discovers that two races of aliens have been extracting precious metals from Earth for at least 6,000 years, and at least one of the alien races has modified human DNA leading to humanity’s present state of development.

Bridget and her friends also learn that the appearance of one of the alien races is so instinctively repulsive that they found it necessary to breed a corps of human agents dedicated to their interests who interfere and steer human civilization.

Proxy wars between the two alien races leave their tracks throughout human history. Two theories of civilization struggle back and forth, with one side or the other sometimes being helped with scientific and technological advances. Which way of life would ultimately be better for the people of Earth: Keeping them dumb and safe like cattle in giant pens or allowing the human mind and spirit to excel through individual freedom? The friends accomplish some clever detective work to lead to what they believe to be an astonishing discovery as they realize their ultimate destiny.
