Olga Schtump was a tap dancer, and not happy about it in the least. Until the age of thirteen her life was one of carefree dreams and childish fantasies of the fairy tale paths her life might take. Then one day she realized that the only thing she was good at was tap dancing.

Despite her scaling the heights of tapping stardom, the depression born of tap dancing clung to her back like some insane organ grinder's monkey.

Perhaps it was the happy sound of the rhythmic clicking - never mellow, never sad, always bursting with unbridled spunk. Perhaps it was the perky music, or the spangled costumes that made her cringe and think of war crimes. Whatever the cause, Olga knew she must work, and resigned herself to an agonizing life to tapping torment.
