Conner – Watching your brother fall in love is weird. And gross. He’s sappy and stupid and makes all kinds of mistakes. It’s awful and painful to watch.

What really sucks, is when you’re falling in love, too. And you’re just as dumb and disgusting as he is. Thankfully he’s too besotted to notice and pick on me for hiding from Ava every time she comes in. Yeah, I’m a coward. So what?

I’ve never been in love before and I’m not sure how to move forward. To her, I’m just the loser in the kitchen. How do I convince her that we have a future together, when I can barely ask her for her drink order?

Ava – Does this stupid bar put something in its drinks that I’m not aware of? My best friend and I have been coming here for a long time, and somehow we’ve both managed to fall ass over tea kettle in love with each of the yahoo brothers who own the place.

What the hell? I come here to bitch about my job, not get heart palpitations every time Conner steps out of the kitchen. Which isn’t nearly often enough for my liking.

Now, I think he’s flirting with me. But I don’t know if he’s just trying to get in my pants, or if I’ve actually managed to find a way into his heart.
