Scotland 1746 -- The bloody Battle of Culloden takes thousands of lives. The Healer, Caitlin, saves many of the wounded soldiers, but the son of a Commander dies despite her efforts. Traveling with her friend and protector, a wolf, she flees this insane Commander, and runs to the Highlands. Struggling to stay alive in this wild, primitive environment, she is aided by the MacKinnon brothers, one of whom she is able to save. She becomes aware of magickal powers that appear in times of great distress. Will these powers save her, or be her downfall?
