Weeks have passed since Violet’s friend Tristan aligned himself with the group of paranormal creatures in the woods of Midnight Valley, a group known as the Exigency. Violet struggles to get a word in edgewise to him, but her troubles have grown beyond that. Tristan’s wendigo sire, Natasha Rowell, has enrolled herself in their school and is making every effort to befriend Violet.

Violet works to confront the two of them but stumbles across some shocking information–and forms an entirely new bond with the lone werewolf in the Exigency.
