Alan Michael Wolf is a twenty-year-old who has spent the last year out in space, exploring the galaxy with his thirteen-year-old sister, Katelyn, and his giant housecat, Leo. But things are about to change for Alan in a big way.

It starts when he receives a message beckoning him to return to the star base he used to call home. Once there, he learns that he has been selected for a trip into deep space to investigate a planet that could contain alien life. It is the opportunity of a lifetime for anyone with a sense of adventure, so Alan cannot say no, even though it will mean going further into space than anyone has before.

But then his ship crashes, leaving Alan stranded on a planet in deep space. It is a fight to survive, and what he discovers on that planet is not what he expected at all…
