Business-savvy Lillian Richards has always been all work and no play, until she realizes what she might be missing out on. Consumed with being successful and making her own way, she has burned bridges and distanced herself from those closest to her. Lillian secretly longs for a family of her own and has to learn it's not all about finding a suitable match on paper, but how to unlock the woman inside the barrier she's built and open herself to what is standing in front of her.

Local bar owner Brian Andrews knows a thing or two about making his own way. This surfer turned bar owner has proved his family wrong by starting and operating a booming beachfront bar. When the idea of expanding his business proves to be more challenging than he anticipates, Brian finds himself needing help. It just so happens the man for the job isn't a man at all, it's the ice queen who left his bed cold after a wild night of passion. Brian has to prove there's more to him than hitting the beach and pouring drinks, while showing Lillian how to live a little.
