How would you feel if a monstrous metal object fell on your front meadow and started a fire?

Joedon elected to deal with the known threat first: put out the fire that endangered him and the essential reeth who grazed the land. He decided that if they lived through that battle, he would deal with whatever the thing was that had crashed down from the heavens.

Then, beings similar to himself descend from the offensive device, speak a language close enough to his own for him to understand, and announce their intention of colonizing his world as theirs had become too overcrowded.

The novella, UNINVITED, is an introduction to The Lillith Chronicles world of Gareeth set in the planetary year 805 (Earth year 4020) when human colonists first land on Gareeth. The story provides forewarning of the problems the reeth-mare Lillith will encounter dealing with humans throughout the Chronicles. The first three chapters of the novella, Lillith, which takes place in the planet year 1171 and starts the rest of the series, are included as a bonus.
