Anise Evans is the goddess of protection and justice.

She also despite the odds against it, an agent of the FBI. Five months had passed since she’d been hired as a consultant and bodyguard for Special Agent Steve Shepard. She’s looking forward to seeing both Steve and Jason again, and pursuing the promises of the bond that binds them together. Despite not seeing them both in person because of training regulations, they’ve grown close through e-mails and phone calls over the months. She’s also excited she’ll be getting her first assignment soon.

Her life’s about to change, again. Both personally and professionally. Her assignment isn’t what she expected, and the tensions between the humans and supernatural races haven’t gotten much better.

They’re about to get a whole lot worse…

Author’s Note: This is a full novel (over 63K words), slow burn, Reverse Harem Urban Fantasy, which doesn’t stint on the fantasy or the romance. There are some scenes of an explicitly erotic nature. There will be explicit scenes in the following books as well, so be warned now. There are four planned books in this series, so minor cliffhangers are unavoidable, but the main plot in this book will be tied up by the end.

Most of the book is in the first person, from Anise’s POV, but the men have some cameos in the third person limited POV.
