There is only one thing Cierra enjoys more than coming up with the next bestseller, and that is watching her beloved baseball team, the Golden Bears. During a Ferry ride to see them play she meets the very handsome, Zach Richards. However, Cierra isn’t particularly interested in dating although he is quite the looker. She hasn't recovered from her recent breakup and letting him in now seems too soon. But giving him her number seems harmless enough.

When Cierra’s sister suggests Cierra interview Colton Diaz a fan favorite for an upcoming book idea, she hesitantly agrees it would be an excellent plot for her new book. During the interview, Colton puts on the charm, and it takes everything Cierra has to dodge his swoon-worthy moves. It’s just a kiss, she tells herself.

Zach is over the moon happy he met Cierra on the Ferry that day. He’s taking it slow, but he really can see himself with her long-term—if she’ll have him. To sweeten the deal he invites her to a game, but this game is unique because afterward he’s arranged for her to meet some of the players.

Cierra is beyond happy about the meet and greet and even brings her sister along. However, things are about to get interesting when she comes face to face with Colton Diaz!
