Robert Moore Williams (1907-1977), born in Farmington, Missouri, was an American writer, primarily of science fiction. His first published story was "Zero as a Limit," which appeared in "Astounding" in 1937 under the pseudonym of "Robert Moore." He was a prolific author throughout his career, with his last novel appearing in 1972. Other books of note include "The Day They H-Bombed Los Angeles" (1961), "Zanthar of the Many Worlds" (1967), and "Jongor of Lost Land" (1970) This collection assembles four of his works for magazines: the short stories "Thompson's Cat" and "Be It Ever Thus" and the short novels "Sinister Paradise" and "The Lost Warship."
