Ashley Foster didn’t have a very typical childhood. Designed and born in a lab, experimented on, all under mind control, until the Harbinger terrorist organization decided to scrap the project. She survived, despite their efforts, and won her freedom.

Things were about to change again for the Union military, and Ashley would be a big part of it. There were also the not so small matters concerning the war with the Communion, and the inimical aliens they knew so little about.
