Toliman

In the twenty third century Britannia rules not only the waves, but space, and the jewel in her crown is the star of Toliman.

After a second restoration, the crown is once again all-powerful and when Henry Plantagenet takes the throne of England, he faces troubles. Orbiting Toliman is Dakra. Home to an alien race who want to snatch back the resources Britain so greedily plunder.

Closer to home Henry has to deal with democrat terrorists and of course his brother, John, the pretender to the throne. A marriage with a Dakran princess seems an obvious choice to seal his power but with it comes risk.

Meanwhile, Bridgette Lindegaard is a Post Mortem Investigation officer who enters the brains of murder victims to solve crimes. Her latest victim is the Minister for Mars who was on his way to meet the Dakran Ambassador. But what were they going to talk about?

Perhaps he knew something of the plan by Eleanor Plantagenet, the third of the royal siblings, to wage war. She’s already got all her pieces in play on Mars. It’s just a question of which move she will make next as she seeks to create a new and independent kingdom.
