After his estranged brother passes away under mysterious circumstances, best-selling graphic novelist, Jamie Ridzik must forgo his trip to the Bahamas with his girlfriend and travel to Hemisphere and identify the body. But laying his brother Layne to rest in this small town proves more difficult than he ever imagined. There’s Layne’s cryptic message scrawled on the back of a business card and then someone on a motorcycle steals his brother’s ashes right out of the funeral home parking lot.

Despite his girlfriend’s misgivings and a warning from the locals, Ridzik decides to uncover the truth and track down the thief. But he gets more than he bargained for when he learns that his brother actually protected the town from supernatural evil by wielding an ancient weapon called…The Rectifier.
