Earth Guardian (Deities Series Book 2)

I am earth. I am pure. I am death.

My name is Pamin, a street rat, properly known as Zabbaleen, from “Garbage City” in Egypt. My family lives on the outskirts of Cairo in a small rundown shack, but we make do. They are my world—until I meet a group of American soldiers who change my life forever.

By hanging out with them, I discover a new-found ability to move earth itself. Then war comes and I must decide if I will fight or flee. My family doesn’t get that choice and that seals my decision. I tag along with my US soldier friend.

We find ourselves in the underground tunnels of the Egyptian pyramids; solving riddles, escaping the insurgents who pursue us for our powers, and evading our untimely death should we get lost within the earth.

Two of the soldiers are like me. They have special skills, but unlike me, they are in control of their abilities. I must learn to understand mine in order to perform the Earth Rite, without killing us in the process.
