This book (roughly translated: Gothenburg Girls and Other Stories) is a collection of short-stories. The tone is humorous; and it's written in a witty and somewhat stylized language. The stories are often about some male protagonist out to seduce a woman or make a bargain, but ending up being outfoxed. Known simply as Sigge Strömberg, his real name was Sigfrid Natanael Strömberg. He was born in Gothenburg on December 22, 1885, and died on March 3, 1920. Besides authoring books, Strömberg was a journalist and a newpaper editor.
