When you could hurt the one you love
Information has always been on Gloria’s side. People will give you anything if you know how to use their darkest secrets against them. But she never guessed information would turn on her like it does and now she has to fight to save herself and the man she loves.
Danger is hot on their tail
Vinny’s never been one to back down. He knows the threat is high, but he’s been in worse situations. Unfortunately, brute force isn’t always needed for every confrontation. On top of outward danger, Vinny has to struggle with his budding feelings and try to keep his private live separated from the road he and his brothers ride.
They might have bitten off more than they can chew…
Gloria has certainly never been in this deep with a dangerous club or her own emotions. Vinny is walking on thin ice every time he does his job, knowing eyes are always on him. Together, Gloria and Vinny will have to put brain and brawn together if they’re going to make out of this alive.
**EXCERPT**
"What is that backpack for?”
“It’s my stuff.” Gloria’s voice was desperate. “I gotta get out of here.”
“What do you mean? Where are you goin’?” Vinny reached out and grabbed the bag from her hand.
“Away, Vinny. Far, far away.”
He took her arm, his grip digging into the pearl color skin leaving red, swelling marks behind. “Like hell you are!” He shouted at her as he pulled her close to his face. Her hair swayed as his breath grazed her body.
“Do you think I want to go? Do you think this is easy for me? I have to go, Vinny. I have to get out of this town before we both wind up dead.” She was fighting back, squirming under him, twisting away. It was useless.
“You leave, and I am as good as dead. They’ll think you’ve run right into the Devils. They’ll track you down, trace you to wherever you go just like they’re doing to Junior.”
She stopped fighting. Whatever he wanted to do to her was not going to compare to her walking out the door. She relented, relaxing in his grasp and letting her body fall into him. “I’m sorry, Vinny. I’m sorry.”
“Don’t you tell me you’re sorry. I don’t need excuses. I need you to get back in your house and listen to me.”
“I’m sorry.” She whispered into his chest. “I’m so sorry.”
