Crocs

This children's chapter book for beginning readers and their elders tells about a pair of Crocs shoes that journey from the discard pile of two brothers in the United States to the feet of a boy in Kenya. Understanding blossoms in this tale based on a real project in a real African village. Readers learn how much a pair of outgrown rubbery sandals can mean to a child who has never before owned any shoes of any kind. The company of Crocs, Inc., was not involved with the book, which was produced independently and focuses on helping American children learn about life in the developing world.
