Following the men's advice, he returns to the scene of Jane's disappearance in order to follow a bright light he had seen in his dreams and on the day of her disappearance. Once he has followed the light he is transported through space and time to November 1963 in Dallas, Texas.
Once Faraday has been reunited with Jane he learns more about the two men that came to visit him, he learns that they too had followed the light that had brought Faraday and Jane to Dallas.
