Hadrian's Wall

When Melissa Baker wakes up in a hospital in Hadrian’s Wall, Maine, she has no idea how she got there, nor does she recall anything that’s happened to her since she left the orphanage where she lived a solitary life for twelve years. She now finds herself in the care of handsome, intriguing Adrian Cahill, a resident doctor who she learns is a member of the rich, powerful clan that founded the town. The Cahills are harboring secrets and unbeknownst to Melissa, she’s one of them.

Having suffered a traumatic event at the tender age of six and unable to socially integrate with other unadoptable orphans, Melissa keeps to herself. In time, she as she regains her memory, she is able to see that things are not what they seem. She discovers that her childhood hallucinations are linked to a creature that haunts Hadrian’s Wall.
