Life had thrown more than was fair at Donna Sherman and she’d survived--growing up in a house with an angry father that she thought was short on love and a mother that loved him more than she should. To say it wasn’t easy for Donna was an understatement. Years later, the effects of that childhood had shaped the woman she had become. Even though she had made it as a success by all standards in life, there was one thing in life that she didn’t want or need.

Love.

That all changed a little while after Nick Dellinger entered her life.

As part of a well to do Christian family in Stanton Falls, Nick had experienced the opposite in life. Having seen what love could do when applied right in a family, he was determined to help her see not only past her tumultuous childhood but also through the new problems that threatened to shake her status quo once again.
