A young Elizabeth Bennet is visiting her friend Charlotte Collins after a year of mourning for her deceased parents and two youngest sisters. At eighteen years old, or should we say eight and ten years old, Lizzy has never been exposed to the machinations of flirtatious men. She has no idea that dragon hosts really exist.
Enter the cousins Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy and Colonel Richard Fitzwilliam. The men come to Rosings to visit their aunt Lady Catherine de Bourgh and her daughter Anne. They are introduced to the inhabitants of Hunsford parsonage at a dinner party.
Both men find happiness in the company of Elizabeth. She is sweet, witty, and refreshingly naïve. Darcy determines that he wants her as his wife. Unfortunately, he is not as outgoing as the colonel. The men visit the parsonage daily to escape the attentions of their aunt.
Elizabeth believes herself in love with the dashing Colonel Richard Fitzwilliam. She discovers he doesn’t share her feelings while walking with him on a beautiful September day. The events that follow her discovery throw her into the world of dragon hosts. It is a world she never knew existed.
