Connie Carl has just graduated from a "stylish Eastern finishing school" and is returning home to take over the management the ranch where she grew up and that her father willed to her. The ranch has been suffering under the management of the shifty-eyed foreman Forest Blakeman. All but one of the reliable ranch hands have gone as well as the money.
Connie Carl must find some money and keep ahead of Forest Blakeman -- and what of the good-looking and capable Jim Barrows who is willing to "work for his grub"?
