Gabrielle’s world is shattered when she learns that earth has been overrun by Hell’s armies, which are led by the demonic Lilith and her seven loyal children. She has watched humans for long enough, pining after the emotions and freedom they possess. In a daring attempt to save them, she undergoes the transition from angel to mortal and falls to earth.

Adrian crawled from the very pits of Hell. He is an incubus bearing the title of Lust. His orders are simple: find the angel and bring her to Lilith. He disguises himself as a mortal and fools Gabrielle into trusting him as her guide to earth.

The ruined earth holds many dangers for the two, including dragons, werebeasts, and an emotion foreign to both demons and angels alike: love.
