**A quiet, peaceful town. Those aren’t the words the sheriff would use to describe the city of Naillik. Not by a long shot...**
With the planet’s largest crime lord trying to set up shop in her town, and her own brother inadvertently working with him, Sheriff Lilly Greyson figures her day can’t get any worse. Unfortunately, she’s dead wrong.
Meanwhile, Captain Remy Bechet attempts to escape the woman who seriously wants to do him harm. Stealing half a billion credits’ worth of the most valuable substance in the galaxy tends to attract such negative attention. Of course, it might have more to do with his blasting off her arm in a previous encounter. That tends to miff some people.
Now, Commander Tara Shaw wants to kill Remy and take the loot for herself. The more pain she causes him, the better.
And all three are on a collision course, whether they like it or not.

**Why a serial?**
The authors of Galactic Blues envisioned the series as a limited-run television show, with weekly episodes being released on nine consecutive Mondays, starting on November 5, 2018. It is meant to be a fun short KU read every week. The story and characters develop much like episodes of serial television. Some readers will opt to buy each episode because they want to collect the covers and to support us further.
**Will we release box sets?**
Although we will eventually release each season (nine episodes) in a combined format, we originally conceived Galactic Blues as a weekly form of entertainment that would enable readers to escape into our world for a short time.
**Will there be additional seasons?**
Yes. We are currently planning a three-season run. If you can’t get enough of our characters and stories, we will happily keep the “show” flying for a while longer.
**How is Galactic Blues connected to the NGU?**
The renegade space pirates at the heart of the series begin their misadventures within the portal-filled solar system that has birthed Newton’s Gate. But as they soon discover, some portals have a mind of their own.
**What Is the NGU?**
First, you might ask... who is C.J. Clemens?
C.J. Clemens is the pen name shared by over thirty authors who continue to write an assortment of stories set in the Newton’s Gate Universe.
