The Academy**

“We hold the future in our hands. We strive against the darkness. We carry the hopes of all.”

In the darkness, with firelight dancing over thirty young people standing in a line, these words rang out in one voice, one single and strong anthem. These were the words of their faith.

Era Rae believed in these words. She believed in the Restored Society and Colony 41. Even more so now that she was about to graduate into the Eccoliculum, the next level of her Academy education, on course to become an Enforcer.

She would be one of the people responsible for holding society together. Responsible for making sure the laws and the ideals of the Restored Society weren’t being violated. After the chaos of the Event, the Enforcers were what kept the world safe for the good people. That was her goal.

But in one moment everything changed. Her good friend was injured and whisked away by two Enforcers and from that moment Era's life began to crumble. Nothing was ever the same again. Everything that she had believed to be true and held dear to her heart were found to be illusions that were well and truly shattered.

Into the Outlands

Battered and bruised after escaping from Colony 41, Era Rae recuperates in the small village of Refuge where a peaceful race of people mind their own business and work the land to survive.

Nursed back to health by the distracting Jadren, Era slowly gains her strength back.

But nothing good lasts forever. There is a mole inside the village that has decided to return Era to the Restored Society and in doing so all Hell breaks loose.

Broken City

Having barely escaped with their lives from the Enforcers who destroyed Refuge, Era, Jadren and Laria journey to the broken city.

Once there, they head underground to the safety of the 'Caves' where they plan to gather together any supplies and weapons that are of any use to them.

What they don't realize is that there is one very large flaw in their plan - The Children of the Event!
