This short story is a rough prelude (updated in Sept 2013) to the Tri System's Edge series. It takes place on the planet of Paradise, where a people forced to abandon their home have taken refuge. Hoping to rebuild their way of life, they soon find that paradise was not meant to last when tragedy strikes again, creating a vampire-like creature known as Vie.

Not your typical vampire story, Paradise Unraveled explains the origins of the Vie and sets the stage for the main event to be found in the book series.
