Death should bring peace, an end to life’s momentous struggle. But that isn’t always the case. Sometimes the dead just will not stay silent. When the mummified remains of a pregnant woman are discovered in the cemetery at St Matthew’s Church, DCI Paul Wells and his team start the hunt for a murderer who is threatening the very fabric of the church’s long tradition. Someone thinks they’ve got away with murder – but not for much longer. Whilst Wells battles to keep one of his team out of prison he must wade through a tangle of lies before the truth finally surfaces.
