Modern reading, comprehensive study of the science of the Self, in-depth discussion on ancient Eastern philosophy and scientific correlation of Vedantic cosmology – this new book has all these and a lot more. In contrast to old and monopolized religious interpretations on the Gita, this book brings out the essence of Vedanta in its clear and pristine form, devoid of all superstition and standing on its own under strict scientific scrutiny. This is the first ever scientific reading of the Gita. It is our guide, friend and companion to a new age – an age of oneness devoid of sectarianism and divisive tendencies – the future of mankind.
This mega work incorporates major features of earlier great commentaries on the Gita, researches hitherto obscure aspects of Vedantic knowledge (the author's related scientific research on Avyakta was recently published in January 2017 in the Prespacetime Journal Vol 7 Issue 16 – a physics journal focusing on studies in space-time, fundamental forces including gravity and related topics), interprets the entire Bhagavad Gita is the light of the True Self within ourselves with focus on Union, establishes how the wisdom provided in the Gita can help anyone lead a successful and happy life (no self-help books required anymore!) irrespective of religion, gender, nationality, caste or creed, and successfully integrates the Vedantic path with modern life in unbiased, simple and practical manner. There is a common misconception that Upanishad wisdom is reserved for monks and it is neither practical nor possible for the ordinary man to follow in life, but this work convincingly clears that notion.
The book contains the Sanskrit text of the Gita in roman script plus simple translation of every verse. Sanskrit terms used in the Gita are retained at all levels in the commentary. All concepts however deep are presented lucidly making it very easy for objective interpretation even for the beginner.
Originally written in Malayalam (one of the Classical Languages of India), the work was serialized in Mathrubhumi daily – the leading newspaper of Kerala – over a period of two years. Published as book titled ‘Gitadarsanam’ in Malayalam language, the work is a bestseller in that language.
