It all started with the events of Crop Dust. First contact with the planes breaching sovereign airspace left the United States victorious. But, the events of Crop Dust lingered well into the months to come. 8 months later, the United States is enduring famine. With starvation on the rise, many citizens are desperate and dangerous. The dollar is on the verge of collapsing and civil unrest plagues the country. Biology labs and biochemical scientsts scramble to find a solution to the food source while trying to avoid being overrun by the public.

Michael is a faithful presidential aide with a genuine desire to help. When his world is turned upside down, Michael sticks with a headstrong group of scientists and begins adjusting to his new life. But the fantasy ends when it's discovered that a hidden contaminant from Crop Dust does much more than stunt crops. It seems that angry mobs and starvation are the beginning of a much bigger and sinister invasion. Michael and his crew seek safety and a laboratory before they are overrun.
