After receiving a letter from his best friend's widow, Frank is journeying back to his home town for the first time since he left to join the army five years ago. Frank has only two things he needs to do before he leaves there never to return. One is to visit the grave of his best friend, Roger. The other is to check his widow, Charlotte, has everything she needs. The only problem is the last time he saw Charlotte he had tried to kiss her, despite the fact she was Roger's girlfriend.

In fact Charlotte is the reason he had never been back.

Curvy Charlotte feels as though she is living a lie, the husband she lost was a drunken bully, not the good husband people thought he was. When Frank turns up at her house she can't help regretting sending him away five years ago. Her attraction to him is too strong for her to fight any more, but can she find away to overcome her troubled past?

Will she ever be able to trust a man again, or will they go their separate ways for ever?

Excerpt: “Are you sure about this?” he asked.

“No, but I don’t want you to stop.” She couldn’t meet his eyes.

He lifted her chin with his finger, she tried to turn away but he wouldn’t let her. “I won’t hurt you, Charlotte.”

She couldn’t tell him that he already had, his being away for so long had done enough damage. She knew that he was only here now because she was Roger's wife and he wanted to lay some kind of claim to her, but she didn’t care. This was one fantasy that had played in her head over and over, especially when her relationship with Roger had really broken down.

“Make love to me, Frank, make me forget.”
