The decision to invite the Federal Police down to the base proves to be good. Ben and the survivors help the Hyclarion Rangers uncover a plot to assassinate the Emperor and overthrow the Empire. When word of the plot reaches Hyclarion, the Emperor himself decides he would like to meet these new humans.
