Marcus Justin, inventor and pilot of the most technologically advanced submarine in the world, gets a pre-dawn call from the Secretary of the Navy. MARS III, the undersea equivalent of the International Space Station, has gone missing. It’s last reported position was two miles deep in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, on a covert mission for the Navy. It’s mostly civilian crew of scientists is headed by a close friend of Marc’s. His job, under charter to the Navy, will be to find the MARS vessel and, if it isn’t already too late, salvage the vessel and rescue the crew.

But, he’ll discover as he puts to sea, that’s just the beginning. The bottom of the world is a dark, cold and deadly place.
