Review
Reviews:
"This is a book about three kids fighting a cataclysm and this is what you'll find in this book:
1) An amazingly unique storyline with incredible plot depth about the End of the World and the three unlikely champions to save us.
2) A brilliantly woven mystery with clues so intriguing that finding just one more becomes an addiction.
3) A fast-paced, action-packed adventure in such good writing that it easily blends together with great scene-building and powerful images.
4) Wonderful characters beautifully developed with distinct outlines and remarkable depth. You will love the de Lowe teens, you will find a soft spot in you for Kemp and you will be amazed to discover Adam, Eve and Cain (yes, those Adam, Eve and Cain!) beneath their disguises.
5) Food for thought on the power of dreams, the turning points in the evolution of mankind and our legacy as humans since the dawn of our race, oh, and on Good vs Evil and the weight of our choices of course.
6) Last but not least, you'll also find special powers, magical powders, an ancient prophecy that opens the Garden of Eden along with magical creatures, ghosts and legends still alive since the first human set foot on earth.
What you will NOT find is a reason good enough to put this book down before it's over.
I highly recommend it for every home with members from 9 to 109."
Kelly Ghoutrani - Greek YA Club
"The Power and the Fury is the first in a series of five books telling the story of Isabel, Daisy and Archie de Lowe, and their adventures as they fulfil their world-saving roles according to an ancient prediction. The book is a joyful, page-turning blend of Narnia, Hogwarts and Dr Who, as it throws the 3 children from their blissful yet eccentric existence in an old farmhouse in Yorkshire, UK into a roller-coaster adventure throwing together magic dream-spinning spiders, a sneeringly arch-baddie, loyal friends, school bullies, gnarly old folk and a lot of water! Meanwhile, the author hints at a much larger saga yet to unfurl which leans on the stories from the book of Genesis."
Charles Roberts - The Wissington Post
"This brilliantly original story pulls you in right from page 1 then continues to tighten its grip throughout. The characters are strongly individual and beautifully drawn, from the loveable scruffy Archie and misfit Kemp to the capable, wide-smiled Gus who is definitely 'crush' material! I particularly loved the way that Erith cleverly interweaves glimpses of his underlying theme, like so many clues, into the story - a word here, a reference there - and the way that you start to make sense of them as the story progresses, like a lightbulb pinging in your brain! Best of all, I really loved the fact that there are so many unanswered questions at the end and a realm of possible future outcomes. This has the mark of a hugely successful series."
Nicky Traynor, Essex Lit.
"What an amazing book and a brilliant choice for our Book Club! We read it, discussed it, loved it and agreed that we cannot wait for the next part of the journey. I felt like I was with the main characters as they were trying to survive the storm and the cottage in the woods was in my imagination for long after the book had finished, I loved it. The test of a good book for me is whether or not I can put the book down while I make a cup of tea - well, this book came with me to the kettle and I could not put it down at all!"

From the Author
A writing journey.
Years ago, I lived between the Yorkshire Dales and the Yorkshire Moors in the northern half of England. Every day I'd commute past the hills of the Moors and the big skies over the ancient Vale of York. It's a beautiful journey and rarely a day went by when the scenery didn't surprise: the shadows cast over the cliff-sides, snow dusting the hilltops, spring flowers, summer light and autumn foliage.
It's no surprise I chose this area with its booming skies and chequered scenery littered with ancient castles and ruins as an evocative setting for the Eden Chronicles.
I hope you enjoy the adventures. Be sure to let me know how you get on.
