With the addtion of Jane Withers, a reprising of the author's earlier novel, *The Phantom Violin*.
Jane Withers and her friends, Jeanne and Greta, choose an unusual site for their vacation, an old partially submerged shipwreck in Lake Superior. They soon notice a strange boat lurking in the waters near the ship. Are the men merely curious, or do they have plans to harm the girls?
Jeanna runs away for a time with the gypsies.
When Greta hears beautiful violin music coming from the top of a nearby ridge, she thinks at first that she is receiving radio waves. On second thought, she decides that it is a real violin. But are the hands playing it also real, or are they ghostly hands?
