We know Lent is coming. Just after New Year s Day when the holiday activities are dying down, we briefly recognize that Lent and Easter are just around the corner. Normally, the next time we acknowledge that fact is a week before Easter as we re all running about trying to make Easter dinner arrangements and wardrobe selections. Lent is a time of reflection and preparation but, unfortunately, too often we allow our busy lives to take control so that it seems we are teleported straight from New Year s Day through Lent.
