A young woman finds herself in hospital. Sometimes she thinks she is Kara Zor-L. Sometimes she thinks she is Karen Starr. Other times she thinks she is Superman's cousin Power Girl. Right now, she doesn't know who she is.
Then, one day, her cousin, Mr Kent arrives at the hospital, discharges her and takes her to her new home. And so begins a process of discovery in which she learns who she is and finds that she has a purpose far greater than knowing her real name.
A first-person narrative showing either an ascent to some kind of transcendence, or a descent into madness, this story draws on ideas from superhero comics (though readers unfamiliar with their mythology will have no problems with it) as a means of exploring extreme mental states and the concepts of love, happiness and personal identity.
