Fantasy and reality mesh in this urban fantasy adventure about the power of dreams.
What would you do if some unseen force was disturbing your sleep and wracking your mind with nightly terrors? What would you do if the nightmares felt so real and were so painful that you woke up sick each and every time you experienced them? What if those nightmares brought forth a terror and forboding so strong that you often just found yourself petrified upon waking? What if there was nothing you could do to fix yourself? What would you do?
For Liandra, a young girl from Lebanon, these questions were her life. She was forced to face them on those nights that she wasn't able to avoid sleep. Nightmares, nightmares, nightmares! She was so sick of that pathetic word and its hold over her. Between her and her worried parents was a desperation to rid her of her nightly afflictions. The worst part of it was not being able to describe what it was that terrified her in her dreams and that was because she could never recall her dreams.
What would you do to save your child from a nightly pain that has lasted years? What if the doctors had no solutions? Would you trust her fate to methods that were shunned by science? Would you give her over...to a dream reader?
A young adult urban fantasy and teen adventure novel starring Liandra from Average Joe and the Extraordinaires, only younger and much less experienced. This standalone series will be told in a short serial format with each installment being approximately half the length of a novel and serving as a new episode in Liandra’s intricate backstory.
