Craig thought he'd be able to make it through the zombie uprising with the help of his childhood friends. They'd been together for months, moving along the road, looking for some safe place. Then a horde of the dead attacked and his friends thought he was a goner. They vanished, leaving him for dead.

Finding Maddy was Craig's luckiest moment in his whole life. She was young, strong, and he didn't mean to, but he fell in love.

They might make it to the Colorado Rockies and hide out. They might survive someway.
