[Smart Alec 01] • Smart Alec in the Dark Lands

It was only supposed to have been a simple training mission. The novice wizards of White Hall along with the new battle mage cadets had journeyed towards the mountains testing out what they knew as they practice battled with each other under the guidance of their mentors. That was until a strange new army suddenly appeared.

Filled with never before seen creatures led by what seemed to be dark elves, the enemy attacked the lines of Southwall veterans and novices alike. Using their magic and skills, the unprepared force of wizards and mages fought a harrowing battle. To their surprise, they were even managing to win; but that was when Alec's next adventure began.

Plucked from the back line by a griffon, the young wizard was taken through a storm gate as the alien invaders returned to the world from which they had come. Fearing that he was to be a snack, Alec freed himself within the storm gate and fell through the strange dimension of storms until a new gate opened throwing him onto the ground in a new a strange land.

After picking himself up, Alec meets a massive, silver scaled, dragon man, named Helios, who befriends the boy before they are attacked by what look like undead creatures of the same race.

Hoping to be returned home, Helios takes Alec to a small fortress where he finds more amazing creatures, some of which look like the army he had just fought. Uncertain who he can trust, Alec does his best to figure this new world and the beings inhabiting it just as it looks like this desolate looking dark land is about to suffer from a new threat as well.

Given the task of discovering the source of the threat of the creatures dubbed "hollows", Alec joins Helios and an odd little blue girl named Shaelamee who has her own fascinating power over water in a new journey while hoping that he can find a way to return home.
