Bess is a Holy Avenger, or `Venger, and she's an operative in Earth's Eminence Command Central (the ECC). A high-tech monster hunter with a chip on her shoulder and the Lord on her side, her skills and her faith are pushed to their limits when she goes up against one of the most nefarious whorchals of all time.

After leaving Rose Park in ashes, the 8th Street Gang fights for their lives in enemy infested streets, escaping to a strange place called the Under River where they bump heads with a sworn enemy.
