There's a corpse in the bathroom.

There's only one little problem...

It belongs to a mafia don's son.

When Becca Baker, a small-town confectioner who runs her own pastry shop, is confronted by the mafia don, seeking her help in finding the killer, she doesn't quite know what to say. After all, she's not a detective.

Why would they choose her store?

Becca had chosen Bend, Oregon as the place to live because it'd seemed quiet and scenic. The community was full of decent people who took an interest in each other's well-being. Or so she'd thought before a body appeared in her bakery.

When it turns out that the murder may have been more about hate than a hit, Becca relents and decides to take the case. Under one condition: she get a slice of the pie. She refuses to settle, playing tough, until she gets her way. The mafia don is willing to do whatever it takes to find the culprit, even it means surrendering a percentage of his trendy restaurant's sales.

With the help of her law enforcement friend and a church gossipmonger, Becca gets a lead that will take her directly to the killer.

And then things get interesting. If dangerous is interesting.

A light and funny tale full of twists and wit, Slice of the Pie is a great cozy mystery for those days when... as the kids say, you can't even.

You'll love Slice of the Pie because everyone enjoys a good whodunit.
