"A Bird's Eye View" is a small novel, divided into two volumes with a simple, dynamic, and profound language. The first volume, "The Aidan's Crossing", tells the story of a young merchant who crosses the ocean in search of wealth and opportunities to live a new life in a distant and mystical land.Aidan, then, realizes that the veil that separates the different realities is rooted only in the way we look at life and its events.***
Excerpt from the Prologue
“The magic is way beyond what our eyes can see.”
The story I am about to tell happened a long time ago, in lands far away from here, far beyond the Ash Belt, the Craggy Range, and the Hanging Valleys. All the beings who experienced the following events are now gone, and nothing remains of that time today but the ruins left behind by a people of great esteem. Some say that it is nothing more than an old legend, told by elders around village fires, since it remained hidden for so many centuries, but I was there and saw it with my own eyes.
I saw, I looked, I watched, and I understood.
Although I am very old, the memories remain vivid in my mind to this day. But I feel that my journey is finally coming to an end. Something unfamiliar has awakened in my heart, and I can sense that the life I was given will be returned to the earth soon. The world has changed, and my time has been lost. I have watched friends and family bid me farewell and return to their abodes in the stars, I have chanted ancestral songs in honor of their lives and honored their souls as they flew away and disappeared into the darkness, thinking of the day I would join them again. But I stayed here, and here I am to this day.
