After The Wand Falters Grim

The new owners of the Three Witches Bookstore find a faulty magic wand, which brings a fictional book character to life only to be murdered. Fifty-something cozy mystery author and spell writer Octavia Grimstone and her co-owners discover the body. In search of the original wand owner, Octavia struggles to stop the demise of other imagined characters while their books still remain on the shelves. With the help of her friends and the cantankerous bookstore cat, she sets out to solve the mystery of the wand, the deaths of beloved story people, and the release of more sinister creations from the minds of authors that should never have escaped from their tomes. Store renovations are impossible, and the scheduled reopening plans grow farfetched as more imaginary creations are brought to life. Murder, she witches, or amateur sleuths, and Octavia faces further threats as more and more books vanish.
