Charlie is finally getting her life back after being attacked by her ex- fiance, Michael, three years ago. She has a decent job, a tiny apartment she loves, and her best friend Brody.

Brody; there things are getting a little complicated. They have been best friends since they were kids. Saw each other through family issues, first loves, and first heart breaks. When Charlie was attacked he was there for her, is still there for her, whenever she needs him. Her feelings for him are growing into something...more. Brody is in love with Charlie. He has been since 8th grade. He has never been able to work up enough nerve to take it farther than friendship, for fear of losing the most important person in his life. When she was attacked, the thought of losing her terrified him and made him realize that he needs her in his life and if that means they can only be friends, he will take it.

Charlie comes face to face with her worst nightmare. Michael is back and he wants to pick up where they left off. Will Charlie and Brody be able to put confusing feeling aside to stay one step ahead of a sociopath with a warped sense of reality; who may be responsible for leaving bodies scattered across the country; that look an awful lot like Charlie; or will danger bring them closer to the unspoken feelings they feel for each other?
