Heartland is a horse farm nestled in the hills of Virginia, but it's much more than that. Heartland is like no other place - it's a place where the scars of the past can be healed, a place where frightened and abused horses learn to trust again.

Ever since Amy's mother died, Ty has seemed more like part of the family than just a stable hand. He and Amy share the responsibility of maintaining Heartland and caring for the horses. So much has changed around them, yet Amy refuses to believe that things could change between them. But when she finds herself torn by a family crisis, it's Ty she turns to for support.
